Soma Flat Module 2 - Furniture for DAZ Studio
The SOMA Furniture module is an independent props module. While it was designed to scale within and look good with SOMA Flat, it is perfectly capable of being loaded into any rendering environment you might want to use.
SOMA Furniture module contains:
1) Sofa with cushions.
2) A Subset of three Ottomans (separate items, but load as parts of a group).
3) A standalone Ottoman.
4) An Easy Chair.
5) A large 90 degree sofa we call a "Pit Group".
6) One coffee table with drawer handles.
Finding your product:
After unzipping into the content directory of your choosing, go to Props --> Causam3D --> SOMA Furniture.
Each furniture piece (obviously excepting the coffee table) has its own cushion(s). These are separate objects parented to the furniture and as such, can be moved independently in the scene. So you can use them in any way you wish. The Ottomans are built the same way, so you can load as many as you want, separate them, whatever strikes your fancy. You'll find that adding pieces in certain ways can allow you to come up with furniture patterns that are unexpected - note the inset in the main product shot.
Collision:
Each piece loads with a smoothing modifier set. All you have to do is change the collision item to whatever you need it to collide with -- usually a character but it can be anything at all.
Colors:
The default color for the sofas, cushions etc is a tan color. This is easily changed by selecting the object and changing "Base Color" to whatever you like. The materials are designed to be easy to use that way.
