Van Causam Shirt for DAZ G8.X Female - Updated
Using Van Causam II is super easy.
Just load the asset onto your character, choose a pose, and then simulate or animate. Then use the provided sliders to adjust the button hole position and the cuffs if necessary.
Van Causam II is an update to the venerable and popular Van Causam men's buttoned shirt. It of course is for women. Genesis 8 Women, to be exact. Hence the tag line, "For an artist to own and a character to borrow", a riff on the old Van Heusen ad campaign from the 80's.
Van Causam II is now a single mesh which uses reactive dForce to determine whether the shirt remains closed or unbuttons. The original used two versions of the mesh, one of them connected at the number three button. Speaking of buttons, you can load the wearable with the buttons parented and they will behave through any simulation. If you want to hide them, use the handy included script for showing/hiding them. They will not interfere in any simulation however.
Notes:
Depending on your character's shape, you may need to employ the easy-to-use Poke Through Fix morph. Simply click the plus sign on the slider until any poke through in your shot disappears, exactly as with any Causam3D clothing product. There is as always a set of cleavage morphs to facilitate fine tuning on large breasted characters, and one more to thicken the edge of the large porthole over the chest. We recommend that you use these morphs after simulating, not before.
To adjust the position of the buttons post-simulation, use Daz Studio's Universal Tool. These buttons will follow the shirt faithfully, but not perfectly in every situation. Minor adjustments are sometimes necessary but are easily made.
Materials:
Van Causam II comes with three base colors which are identical to the original, and both have a solid or pinstripe option. Additionally we have made a warmer Basic White to replace the old one because it looks nicer and renders better. For symmetry in the universe, we also added a basic black.
Thanks for purchasing Van Causam II! We hope you enjoy this product and make wonderful renders with it.
To install:
Unzip into your Daz3D directory, either the program folder or your "My Library" folder.
To Use:
Very simple. Load the bra onto your character, choose a pose and simulate. Then use the morph sliders to adjust anything you might wish to adjust. That's it, you're done!
