I am pleasantly surprised. While I always give free assets a high evaluation, this could easily be a 20 dollar asset, but is free. Super easy to work with and the default materials are excellent. I deactivated being able to select the normal tongue, and proceeded to make a 2 second animation with the tongue immediately. It was so easy to adjust this with the accompanying morphs, kudos!

Imperatrix Lingua G8.1F
Imperatrix Lingua, a remesh and rerig of the DAZ Genesis 8.1 Female tongue, 480 quads. The UV map is identical to the stock G8.1F UV map, so textures and materials can be re-used. While the skeleton is transferred from the stock G8F skeleton, the weighting and dial behavior are pretty different, the poly count is higher and there are a couple of morph targets to give some variety to shape. It is rigged to follow the G8.1F character's skeleton but *not intended to mimic the behavior of the stock G8F tongue*. Trying to use the original G8.1F dials to control this model is not recommended.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS FIGURE WAS RIGGED FOR G8.1 FEMALE, AND LOADING IT ONTO THE ORIGINAL G8F WILL INVOKE THE AUTO-FIT UTILITY! But you can still use it with the original G8F, just hit CANCEL on the Auto-Fit dialog. Do not hit Accept, as the Auto-Fit utility will overwrite the weighting on the Imperatrix figure and make it bend/scale very badly.
Dials can be found on the top level of the figure, under Morphs for morphs and Posing Controls for posing controls.
To load, make sure the target character is selected and load the model from the content library. The Imperatrix loads as a Wearable preset that will hide the stock G8.1F tongue by toggling Tongue1 bone visibility. Pose the character as you like and open the mouth etc, and switch to the Imperatrix figure to access posing controls for it. The default material settings will point to the stock G8.1F texture files as in a typical DAZ install; if these files are for some reason not present, just load whatever your preferred starting mouth/tongue material might be.
You can 'zero figure' on the Imperatrix model and all dial changes will be reset to zero.
Caveats:
- The model will conform to the G8F character in exactly the same space the stock tongue is placed and won't be visible unless the mouth is opened.
- It is possible that some of the G8F stock head/face posing dials can be transmitted to this model and make it behave undesirably.
- It is possible to pose this model poorly and contort it into some stupid shapes. Don't dial everything to 100% and expect it to look natural. Some common sense is recommended.
