MAZE HUNTERS - A Renderhub Maze Game
82Title: Maze Hunters - A Renderhub Maze Game

How to Play:
The maze is a square shape with four corners for the main entrance and there are four teams correspondingly; Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. Each team can compete with single or two players. The aim is to collect much points by collecting Gold, Silver and Bronze Eggs, hidden in the maze, mostly centered around the 'Renderhub' text shaped hedge, in the center of the maze. There are also the banana prizes scattered randomly along the hedge, which shines like the fools gold, needless to say is worthless. There is a time limit for the Maze Hunters, which is 45 minutes. Each contestant is given a sack to collect the eggs, where they can also put the prize eggs within their pockets or most suitable places. The collected eggs are counted at the end of the time limit and the team with highest value of points becomes the winner of the Maze Hunt. The maze doesn't have dead ends, but a time limit to make the hunt more challenging. The judges observe the contestants through drones which are circling the maze throughout the contest (also to prevent grabbing of opponents eggs or contestants jumping over the hedge to take shortcut, which is not allowed).
The contenders must return to their starting position with the eggs they have collected within the time limit (45 minutes), and if they are still in the maze when the time runs out, the acquired eggs do not count.
The eggs become more dense and with more valuable eggs (such as the golden eggs) as they move away from their starting position and approach the Renderhub-shaped hedge in the middle of the maze. In other words, the format indicates that more valuable eggs are more densely populated in this region.

Egg Values:
1 - The Golden Egg : worth 100 points.
2 - The Silver Egg : worth 50 points.
3 - The Bronze Egg : worth 25 points.
4 - The Banana : worthless.

Maze and Labyrinth Definition:
Although both maze and labyrinth depict a complex and confusing series of pathways, the two are different. A maze is a complex, branching (multicursal) puzzle that includes choices of path and direction, while a labyrinth is unicursal, i.e., has only a single, non-branching path, which leads to the center.
History:
Labyrinth is a word of pre-Greek ("Pelasgian") origin absorbed by Classical Greek. It is also related to Lydian labrys which means double-edged axe and inthos means place.
The word maze does not have much of a history. There was no distinction between the usage of the word maze and labyrinth. It was a place where you could wander in confusion or get lost. In modern times there are different types of maze:
Logic mazes have rules for going in various directions.
Mazes in three or more dimensions e.g. maze of bridges or natural caves.
Picture maze forms a picture when solved.
Ball-in-a-maze puzzles involve navigating a ball through a maze or labyrinth.
Dead end maze is a maze game where the route creates the dead ends.
Turf mazes and Mizmazes is a pattern like a long rope folded up, without any junctions or crossings.
Loops and Traps Maze is a maze that features one-way doors. The opening doors may create dead ends and loops and lead you back to the starting point instead of the end point.
Labyrinth:
Meaning A labyrinth is a maze that has a single through-route with twists and turns but without branches.
Level of difficulty:
A labyrinth is not designed to be difficult to navigate. It may be long but there is only one path (unicursal).
Entry and exit:
A labyrinth has only one entrance and that is also the exit. There is just one path from the entrance to the center.
Significance:
Some labyrinths have a spiritual significance. They signify the complex and long path to reach God.
Maze:
A maze is a confusing pathway that has many branches, choices of path and dead-ends.
Level of difficulty:
A maze is a tour puzzle and can be designed with various levels of difficulty and complexity.
Entry and exit:
A maze may have different entry and exit points.
Significance:
Mazes are used in science experiments to study spatial awareness and (sometimes) intelligence.-(source: diffen com)-

Thu, May 01Thank you for the comment. I was aiming to make a crop circle in a similar manner, but I was more focused on this and didn't know about this would lead me anywhere either, so I couldn't even start on that one... I wish you best in the contest as well.

Well, I mean.. the banana isn't entirely worthless, as long as it's edible.
This is a very creative and original render, good luck. I like it. I wanna get lost in it.
For exactly 827 hours and 1 second.

Thu, May 01Thank you for taking time to comment. I agree that bananas are a good and tasty fruit.
Since the raspberry would be too small for the competitors to find, I used the banana in a similar fashion to the raspberry awards.
The banana award would make the maze contest more fun, while providing a diversion for the contestants, adding in a little bit of flavor.
...Good luck with your entries of realism as well.
