Need advice on a kneeling pose.
61Working on a pose set and finished all the standing poses now I'm working on kneeling then laying poses to complete it. I'm currently struggling to get the kneeling poses to look realistic. I think it has more to do with the woman's proportions in my reference compared to the proportions of the gen 8 base female figure. I can't seem to get the hip and legs right while also not clipping through the floor. Any advice on getting my pose to look closer to my reference? Unfortunately the reference image set doesn't come with multiple angles for the poses.

I'm not great at posing. So, what I would do, for your G8 in proportional relation to your reference, is this. In my opinion, her hip is too high. Lower it a notch and raise her thighs a little. Notice how the reference toes are more bent? You might be hitting a lock. Remove the locks. The rest would probably require custom morphs, but raising her thighs a little as her bottom is lower, and bending the toes more, will give you a centimeter more for her shins to come out of her thighs.

Thu, Jan 08The shape of the thighs is different; I've noticed that the poses I created for the base G8F need to be modified when using morphed G8Fs. Since the overall shape of the characters is different, in my opinion, it's not possible to exactly reproduce the model's pose.
By expanding the toes (Left Toes, Right Toes) in posing mode, you can bend the individual toes even further (It looks like you've only bent the entire toes in the picture). This may help to prevent floor clipping at the feet.

Sorry, I just forgot: you can also try out what happens when you use the metatarsal bones (left/right). Also, don't forget Luxe's tip (above): DAZ limits are there to be turned off

I think your pose is fine. We (real people) are endlessly pose-able and so too are the models that attempt to simulate us (again, real folks). There's no model that's perfect out of the box so I wouldn't get wound up about it. The biggest problem is how the muscles 'squish' when the bones are posed. I know that Vicky Fourpointtwoplusplus has a bunch of add-ons and morphs that mostly fix these problems. And clothes hide a lot.
