Dibs on skeletons with rattlesnakes! (CLOSED)

This is not my entry, just a test render of my idea for my entry. I already own the Michael 4 Skeleton from DAZ and a non-rigged rattlesnake from CGTrader, so I'm just going to combine the two, along with sword and shield, fantasy role-playing game style lol. I know even less about horror than I do about graffiti, but contests are fun and motivating. I'll get started this week, instead of the last week of the contest.

Tonight's noisy WIP render. I'll probably name the final image "Snaky Skelly." Hard to take a skeleton with a snake coming out of its mouth seriously.

Thanks! I think it's because you interpreted the pose correctly. I got it here: http://www.klopfholz.de/ab/ht/coffin/Coffinset.html I thought I was going to be finished with my entry last night, after I added the rattlesnake, but now I need to mess around with camera location and lights, to get a more interesting render.

Thu, Oct 06, 2022Awesome. Looks like it's going to be cool!
But now I can't un-see the image in my mind of that grinning skeleton with two beers in his hands. LOL

OK, this is the best I can do, so this is my contest entry, titled "Snaky Skeleton". Two issues I ran into were the material for the snake's mouth and the resolution of the textures. The mouth isn't quite shiny (wet) enough, but I'm going with it. I messed with settings and just couldn't get a result I liked, probably due in part to the environment. The textures are 1K, so a little stretched on the skeleton, since I'm just rendering with a GT 1030. Any larger, and Blender runs out of GPU memory. Oops. Anyhow, another fun prompt and a good learning exercise.
