Create any seamless Genital Textures for any Gen9 (CLOSED)

Create any Genital Textures for any Gen9 character that doesn't come with them. Here is how.
Load your DAZ.
Load your Gen 9 and the Complete texture set you want to use on it.
(Note: Make all corrections to textures before transfer, ie. Photoshop, Gimp etc... Even if the character i purchased came with gen textures, most of the time I have to make corrections to this area, such as bad pubes or huge labia which i do not prefer, so I retouch them in PS.)
Select >Surface Tab
Up top there is a small square for each tab for options (Four lines with Triangle)
Select Map Transfer
In the Top Left Box, RIGHT Click and Create New Template
Drag Genesis 9:Body from Surface box over to the Template1
Select Template1
((You can change Location of the converted textures here if you need to))
Convert By Matching Properties should be checked
I change the textures to png format (optional)
BAKING QUALITY 10
Don't change anything else
Click on Gen 9:Body template
Change Surface Options Target UV to Genital Map Bake
Click Accept
This should create your all your textures loaded on your character.
BTW this method works for all Genesis figures to create matching, seamless textures. Also what I usually do to make sure settings are correct is copy the Body from Genesis figure onto the genital first; then, load each gen texture to replace the body one.
Keep in mind PBR and Iray have separate settings, and the easy way to make sure all settings are correct is to save out a SHADER Preset (from BODY) and then apply that shader to the genital, or apply either the PBR shader or the iray shader on top of the surfaces. If you use shader preset this will absolutely correct any settings that are out of bounds so to speak. DAZ already made the PBR shader and can be found i believe in the development folder.
DAZ Iray PBRSkin is the name of the DUF File so search for it if you cant find it. Create a shortcut for it for easier use by right clicking on the icon and Create Custom Action... This will place it in the Menu bar, either in Favorites or create a Script menu.
To make sure all settings are equal from gen to the body select both textures at the same time the the surface tabs and look for any ? in each box. Make sure the Body is your source when correction, if any are needed.
Extra: Did you know you can add that same PBR shader to any surface? Try using it on clothing, and find a seamless tile to place in the Detail Normals to create a more realistic texture. Tiling in this area, in surfaces, doesnt affect or tile the whole texture, only the underlying normal, just like it does for skin!
Enjoy!

Thu, Jan 12, 2023The male gens has a different uv but shares the body part of it! There is a small fix for this here but not perfect.
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/601056/alternativ-uv-map-for-g9-male-anatomical-elements#latest
I will be writing up a tutorial for my fix for this utilizing this UV plus the Map Transfer tool with zbrush support.
My method you can mix other male gen textures to work with any non male gen char skin!!
more to come

Sun, Jun 08Could you please explain in details what should I do in the First step "Load your Gen 9 and the Complete texture set you want to use on it."?
I'm new to DAZ, I did everything as your tutorial says, but nothing happened, genitals area was still grey.
I have my DAZ female body, I applied default female genitals mesh. Then I applied skin (as metrial), skin on the body changed except for genitals area, it's grey, textureless.
What should I do next to apply seamless texture onto it?

Sun, Jun 08You might want to recheck if your texture is PBR instead of IRAY. You also have to make sure you are in the surface tab of the figure. Each figure in the SCENE TAB must be seleted first, then go to the SURFACES TAB SELECT the TORSO or BODY right click on the texture name in that same tree and Copy Selected Surface(s). Then go back to the SCENE TAB, slect the Genitals you are working with, and then go back to Surfaces tab, select the surface, usually ont he gens its one surface, and right click and PASTE to Selected Surface(s)
If in face the surface is a PBR Shader type you will need to convert the texture to a PBR skin, DAZ provided this as a PBR shader, type PBR into the search box of your Library to find it and then make sure you have the surface slected and apply the shader. You can repeat the same process to copy a PBR shader over.

Sun, Jun 08I found skin file (see the imgur link). But I don't know how to check if it's PBR or Iray. I tried to copy surface and paste it into genitals mesh, but I pasted it without adjusting, so the whole skin was applied onto the genitals mesh, it looked weird, there were nipples next to vagina.

Wed, Jun 11you have it set to a differnt UV. When you paste the torso/body mat onto the genz you have to chage the UV map to G8 body, not default. If you still dont know what you are doing, i suggest you get some more experience using DAZ, there are a ton of tutorials online.
Oh thank you so much!
I was using Blacksmith 3D to fix the seams. I don't know why my method is not working for G9.
You saved my day!

Thu, Jan 12, 2023i know for Blacksmith you have to make sure you are running as Administrator while suing this program, and i use this when converting from old v4/g1, etc textures to G3, then you can use this product to extract from any G8, G8.1 textures to g9! https://www.renderhub.com/mrburns/mb-skin-transfer-helper
