Starry Night Elegance (CLOSED)

Dear fellow fashion enthusiasts and esteemed judges,
I am thrilled to present my entry for the RenderHub Fashion Contest, a mesmerizing fusion of fashion and the boundless beauty of the cosmos.

My creation, showcased in this stunning 3D render, captures the ethereal essence of the stars themselves. Each intricate detail of the garment is a tribute to the twinkling constellations, harmoniously blending cosmic motifs with avant-garde style. The interplay of celestial hues and shimmering textures lends an otherworldly allure to this ensemble, making it a true standout on the runway.
When I witnessed a recent meteor shower, I was captivated by the enchanting spectacle and the fleeting moments of shooting stars streaking across the darkness. It was in that instant that I wished to infuse that same sense of wonder and brilliance into my design. I aimed to create a dress that allows the wearer to embody the cosmic energy and radiance, turning heads and evoking a sense of awe with every step.
The meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in this piece reflect my dedication and passion for the art of fashion. Through this creation, I hope to convey the idea that fashion is not merely fabric and stitches; it is a medium through which dreams are woven and aspirations take flight. I believe that fashion has the power to transport us to new realms, where imagination knows no bounds.
Thank you for taking the time to appreciate my work. I am eager to see the remarkable designs that my fellow participants have crafted, as we embark on this incredible fashion journey together.
With utmost gratitude and excitement,
Zelad

As I worked on bringing my dress concept to life, I used Photoshop and Krita to create a stunning 2D design. The model in the artwork holds a yellow sphere, representing our Sun. I also separately drew the basic costume design elements that I used as a mask when I created the textures. During the creation of the concept art I was inspired by such characters as Astra from the game Valorant and Phosphophyllite from the anime Land of the Lustrous.

I used ZBrush and Maya to create clothing elements

The key challenge was designing the lower part of the dress. Initially, I planned for it to have two layers (as depicted in the concept art). However, in the end, I opted for a single-layer fabric. To achieve realistic physics, I utilized Marvelous Designer. Although not everything went seamlessly, I ingeniously devised a framework on which the fabric could be draped to achieve the desired shape.

The final stage involved rendering. Initially, I intended to use Blender for this task. I even prepared a scene featuring crystals instead of spectators. However, I discovered that the competition rules had slightly changed, requiring me to use a different scene. Therefore, I made the decision to switch to KeyShot as my rendering program, as I believed it would yield better results in this particular case.
