Hey there! I'm really excited to share that I've finally completed my work on Renderhub's contest project. It's been a short but fulfilling journey, but I'm happy with the final outcome.
Throughout the project, I've recorded every step that I've taken, so that I can create a breakdown video. This video will show the process that I went through, from the initial concept to the final result, and will make another video for the breakdown. I believe that it will be useful for others who are interested in learning more about how to create similar projects.
Overall, I'm pleased with how everything turned out. There were definitely some challenges along the way, but I was able to overcome them and produce a high-quality piece of work. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you and getting your valuable feedback.
I've included some screenshots of the breakdown so that you can see the process we've been following.
everything started from here:

At first, I thought to myself, the future in people's minds is in 2 ways, it's modern and good, or it's wrecked and something like hell. so in my opinion we will have both at the same time. just like the social gap we have now in society.
So I made 4 story-driven cinematic shots,
Because time is very limited, I had to convey the whole concept to the audience in 10-20 seconds.
Otherwise, many more shots could be made.
(Shot 1: showing 2 residential levels)
(Shot 1: showing 2 residential levels)
Starting with my reference board:

As you know always the first step is to delete the blender's default cube and start to block out

Then I used a "Blosm" blender addon to add some real-life city buildings just at the scale I wanted and measured.

textured the buildings and added a little bit of spice.

Time to make some unknown format type of environment just like my life.

Working with those creepy Nodes.

Depth and Fog's, are the best ways to show the atmosphere.
Also used the mist option and added some details
Also used the mist option and added some details

Added more more details and tried to make the downtown using a particle system and a weight paint brush.

Here is a bunch of animating progress going on + compositing setup.

(Shot 2 : Downtown)
used the previous base environment and city for the start.

added some assets and fog to add realism.

light setup + making the ground mud

here I was planning to render with cycles, but I wasn't able to render this shot at the time I wanted
so I decided to make it a better look scene in "evee" and it was really hard to make evee look like cycles.
so I decided to make it a better look scene in "evee" and it was really hard to make evee look like cycles.

The best part, Animating + compositing

just look at this,
the upper one is cycles(rendered in 20 mins)
the down one is evee(rendered in 10 sec)

the upper one is cycles(rendered in 20 mins)
the down one is evee(rendered in 10 sec)

say Wow. please
(Shot 3 : modern city)
references:

cyberpunk like
blocking outttt.

Adding depth and mist.

Texturing or adding detail to buildings, whatever u call it.

lights +more detail for the scene

modern city means a lot of led walls

What is that car tho, who put him on there!? Uh...
The speed process of making the holo umbrella

Texturing

using mixamo for the base animation and pose then editing (hand animating) it and giving our umbrella to this nice woman standing there, Damn!
note: the woman and other people are 3d scanned by poly cam.
note: the woman and other people are 3d scanned by poly cam.

For no reason, just if you want to see all shades.

Better than cyberpunk LOL!
(Shot 4 : ending)
Design process of the sci-fi helipad

finding a good place for that

Nodes and materials, the most important thing in the scene (after the default cube)

Animating, adding fog, adding wheels, and.....

And Finallyyy the rain and effects that i added in Adobe After Effects + sound design in Adobe Premiere.

taddaaa!!!
The End
The End
Here is the final output:
WATCH AT THE HIGHEST QUALITY (because of the YouTube compression)
Thanks for everyone's support throughout this project! you're awesome!!

Wow, looks so sick!!!!!!!!
20 seconds and you already get a feel of the city from different POVs.
Good story telling there!

Sun, Oct 22, 2023I sincerely appreciate your valuable comment, Ali. Thank you very much.
Yes, even though the time was very limited, I tried to make a cinematic work, well, cinematic work = storyline
Overall, I am pleased that you enjoyed my work
Another thing that needs to be mentioned is It was great to see how well you performed in the previous competitions!

This is amazing! My respect for the work done! It's a pity that the vehicle's shock absorbers didn't work when it landed. But overall it's a damn cool job!
