Beast's Wrath (CLOSED) (CLOSED)

This is a creature concepted to disturb the observer, the curved posture and the deformed limbs are meant to be disgusting as a bestial and distort version of a human body.
The hump and the curved spine, suggest that the Beast was caged for a long time somewhere, also indicated by the chains tangled in his flesh.

woah, i love that sculpted face and the stylised muscly\boney chest, i admire how you kept perfectly true to the original concept art, awesome, this could be a cool new 3d resin printed character diorama with broken chains and destroyed dungeon around him. more, more, mmmore, we need more of this awesome design WIP.  love it.

Just some new WIP's, this will probably be the final pose.
soon i'll end the details, adding some pattern on the skin, and then i'll start with the retopology and texturing... and rendering omg i'll never end this.

That is one scary creature - but very cool!

I added chains and now i'm testing some skin details.
closer is the deadline faster i work lol

If you see the chain's compenetration in the character's mesh, don't worry... the chains are really stuck in the flesh of the beast.

Clearly he's very strong, and escaped from someplace "not strong enough"...  😨

The power of the normal maps
Retopo made on zbrush(body) and maya(head), and the UVs in Maya.
Now i'm texturing all in substance painter and then... finally the rendering in Arnold.
Almost Done!

To relieve some of this anxiety and give artists more time to do the quality job they want, RenderHub has decided to extend the entry period deadline to January 15, 2021.

I'm glad to introduce you The Beast,
I'm working on it since the beginning of the contest, and for a 21 y.o. CGI student this has been
a very exciting opportunity to create from scratch an entire character, working through several softwares.
It was a tough one, but was it all worth it!
