Fri, Dec 15, 2023Top style, detailed work.
Could even compete with those lip gloss cosmetics ads.
Oh Nikita, girl in a cold winter's night.
Very well done.

Sat, Dec 16, 2023Credit should go to the model creator
Daz studio models (some) are detailed really well as long as you set decent light and have a decent GPU to render high resolution to see it.

Sat, Dec 16, 2023I also love the render but am disappointed this probably only took about 15mins to setup and render.
While im amazed at what can be achieved in modern software and its speed, Id really like to see people actually put effort into original art and not just rendering premade assets (for some reason very often with insanely large breasts).

Yes huge breats seem to be popular and as you know I have the same gripe, as in the effort put into something.
I dont just see an end result and be wowed even if it looks nice, I appreciate effort that goes into it, sure not everyone can model but if you cant at least spend more than 30min in something simple.
The rules even state - judging on complexity and overall "effort" that goes into an entry, which i do feel most times isnt even take into account, because the simple entries are winning contests ?
Honestly if judging doesnt even take what their own rules ask for, why even have those rules in there, just wasting the time of people who actually do put a lot of effort into their work.

Sun, Dec 17, 2023I think your thumbnail pic is gone (shows blank) or there is a thumbs up as your thumbnail pic.
Yep. The model was Aurore from DAZ. I have a few hours in it actually. Messing with different assets the stole is a part of a hat and the hat is a couple of different hats. The bokeh in the background was tree lights, and the bulk of the snow was confetti as visible in the wireframe. There is an hdri for the bulk of it. There is some additional lighting. The white point was adjusted into the burnt orange to bring about some blue. There some post work. I thought it was a render contest.
. Yeesh already

Sat, Dec 16, 2023No hate to you brother, the render is very good and I dont want to diminish the effort you put in it at all, although it might look that way from my previous comment.
My intention was to critique (i am aware the judges have their own metric of how they judge a render) and possibly help you improve your next render.
Since i am a firm beliver in the fact that this is not so much just a render contest but an art render contest. This necessitates originality, maybe a story, an idea etc.
Im not saying my renders are perfect, which is why i invite others to critique it as well.
Hope we can all become better artist

Very pretty, nicely done.
Depth of field, eye reflections, lighting and effects top notch. And a hint of wonder, wonder what she's looking at. Nice work.
Best of luck with your entry

Mon, Dec 18, 2023It might be the photographer saying; show your best emotions rather than her, staring at something, physically
Something like, try to be like thinking something deep and thoughtful.
The model may have done this instinctively to be naturally photogenic as well.
And also the face of a top model is characterized by prominent and usually high cheekbones, a defined chin and a lower jawline. To that list we could add a regular nose, raised eyebrows, facial symmetry, full lips, thick hair and other features of beauty.
How do you see what you really look like to others?
A Complete Reflection
Hold two hand mirrors in front of you with their edges touching and a right angle between them like the two covers of a book when you're reading. With a little adjustment you can get a complete reflection of your face as others see it.
A gpod observation from you too CosmicEnvisions

All in all, it's a very pretty render. You lite it well and used the modeler's content to the greatest effect and did them proud. Pretty render!
