Here is a bit of an update this time I added Wings and new Boots
I start off my character's using low poly shapes then start adding small details along the way

Alright i'm done with all the low poly parts for the character
except for the hair it still needs some changing.

CONTEST ENTRY DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JANUARY 15, 2021
Some contest participants have been giving feedback that they may not have time to complete their projects, or may have to take shortcuts to make the November 30th deadline.
To relieve some of this anxiety and give artists more time to do the quality job they want, RenderHub has decided to extend the entry period deadline to January 15, 2021.

well i don't know if this still counts but here we go!
okay first things first I had to rush this character model i did not have enough time during the holydays during that time i decided to change the character i painted a quick concept piece here
I then went in to sculpting the character as quickly as possible luckily i had a couple of mesh lying around I then shaped and molded the model the way i wanted them


this is the basic model i made
i used sketchfab to take the pictures for this
from there i made the rest of the meshes
i added the horns, tail and hair


next up, i made the high poly meshes plus added wing






Next up is the clothing.

I used metal and gloss on the materials to set aside everything so i won't get mixed up

Ok so recap of the workflow
I first started with pre set model's I'd had sculpted before in Sculptris I then remodeled them then duplicate them added multiresolution using Blender
Sculpted detail's then baked the normal maps to the low poly models i then seamed the model and began texturing using both Blender and Photoshop
I created multiple maps such as base color map, normal map, metal map, gloss map and some light maps
finally I rigged the model using Mixamo's auto rigger because I didn't have enough time to rig it myself sadly

Adventurer Lucia: enslaved as an infant all her live she was taught that dragons were evil and that she is to kill all of her kind.
upon entering her early teens her wings began to grow, the humans feared her for this so they had her wing removed by blade.
the timed had come when the old king had come and gone and a new king sits on the thrown implying a new law that dragon are no longer a threat and should be welcomed.
Lucia, finally free from her chains joins the knights of the new king and decides to travel the world in search of other like her some day to unite all dragon.
