The Army of the Dragon Queen (CLOSED)

So first of all, if you're wondering how I got this many figures into one scene without my computer exploding: I didn't.
This final scene is a composite of 14 separate renders, working back to front, all stitched together in GIMP. I used the DAZ Decimator plugin to make a 33% poly copy of the basic soldier model for the marching troops at the rear, and rendered them in files of 12 soldiers each, starting at the very back and working forwards. Only the warriors on the front ranks are rendered at full resolution, four or five at a time, to save my poor graphics card from melting.
The uniforms are mainly the excellent Valiant Armour for Gen 8f, but the body-suit is from HM's Shadow Walker, and the belt and pauldrons as well as the commander's horns are also from various HM outfits. To get the hair under the helmets, I used mainly April-ysh hairs because they're quite modular, and separate chunks can be hidden at will- Mesh Grabber did the rest.
The Shields are from Roguey's excellent prop set, and I tried to tex-mod
a dragon emblem but gave up because I couldn't make one I liked more
than the red and black snake motif that comes with the set. The flags I
did mod though- they're from Renderosity's Dforce Flagz set, topped with
the staff from Luthbel's G8m Wise Wizard set.
The archers at the far end have the shoulder-cape from the DAZ G8f Aurola warrior outfit- they were originally going to have the wolf's head as well, modified with mesh-grabber to look more dragon like. I ended up getting rid of that because it hid most of their faces, but I managed to find them dragon's head bows instead.
I don't know if this disqualifies me, but the Dragons are actually Herschel Hoffmeier's Wyvern- I never liked the DAZ dragon model, but the HH Wyvern set has that hench, horned, Game-of-Thrones look I wanted.
The Queen, of course, is wearing Arki's Dragon Empress set, because what else would she wear? Probably the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her Dforce skirts to drape properly over the Wyvern's neck when both of them were moving in the simulation. I ended up making a mock-up of the contours of the neck out of props, and after all that effort, you can barely see her.
Finally, the dust and environmental effects were done in GIMP, once the scenes were composited. If people want to, I can post the original component renders, so you can see how I did it.

Oops- here's the wireframe of the first render. Do I need to post all 14?! REPORT

Sat, Mar 09, 2024Good arrangement of soldiers and a good scene of warriors. Well done.
Apologies for spamming my own thread but the contest gallery is displaying my wireframe, not my entry. Can anybody tell me how to change that?

Sat, Mar 09, 2024If you comment on your thread with a thumbnail image, for example a 400x400 square cropped image of your main, it will display that in the gallery. It seems to take the last image on your post. Thats why its showing your wireframe as your thumbnail. Love the render by the way

Thanks very much everyone!
I'm going to post the individual renders that went into the composite, just so that it's clear what I did to get the final scene. There's quite a few.
