Contest Entry - Space Pirate Caterpillar WIP 01 (CLOSED)

Blockout in Dynamesh

Thanks Foxy 3D!

Part 1 of today's progress

Part 2

Today's progress, Happy Holidays everyone!

worked on sleeves, cybernetic arms/hands, made some ammo clip pouches, started details of coat folds and some parts of face, feeling things out

Fixed up the sculpted parts of his bristles, got everything UVed, made new guns and holsters, made his jacket folds, went more into detail with his face and fleshy parts

fixed up his boots and belly armor, changed his face and body a bit, got sculpted details onto his side armor and underclothes, got fibers ready for the coat. Need to get fibers for his spines, finish the last bit of his radio, and make his secondary weaponry.

This thing is ugly , and gross and some weird looking thing I have would never want to run across anywhere . I freaking love it . really great job . Cannot wait to see thing thing finished.

@Brinecycling thanks, I'm enjoying working on this guy! It's always fun to make something ugly on purpose!

Did some changes after taking a critical look at him, finished up the sculpted details, got his fibers all figured out, and made his last few props. Gonna get him into substance and textured nicely next.

OMG I love the posh add to this dude. Really good idea to make him a bit posh . "Champagne wishes and Cavalier dreams " LOL

Got his textures finished, Got him posed earlier this morning, now I'm just playing with lighting and renders for the final turn-in for today's deadline.

I was hoping you would finish this .

Final Render
Still waiting for my turntable to render, if that gets done before the deadline I'll post it too. Happy with how he turned out, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.

So that's my final entry. Thank you to Renderhub for hosting the contest and extending the deadline to January, thank you to Foxy 3D for keeping us all going and viewing our work, and thank you to the judges for taking the time to take a critical look at our work. Good luck everybody!
Oh yeah! This guy is creepy but oh-so-cool. Nice job! :-)
Thank you for participating, and for sharing the great WIP images so we could follow your progress.
I am just the contest host and won't be judging, but good luck to you!
And feel free to still post the turntable if you want, even though it's past the deadline. We'd love to see it.
