Looking for someone to convert G8 to G9 (CLOSED)
396THIS JOB HAS BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY AND IS NOW CLOSED
Looking to commission converting my Genesis 8 original character to a Genesis 9 character for commercial use as I have given up converting her myself. I'm not sure what the price range is, feel free to PM me here on RenderHub!

Kind of dumb question, since from the way you write, you probably tried already various options, but have you tried simply using the transfer tool and transferring the morph for your character to G8 to G9 ? It would not cover transferring the textures, but for that, I think there are some guidelines on line.

Wed, Aug 14, 2024I did but I have problem for the eye area and can't seem to fix it. The eyeballs are too small and too centered, leaving a big gap in the eye socket

Wed, Aug 14, 2024You're not the only one to be plagued by the eye-gap problem. There are a lot of G9 figures on the market from seasoned vets with that issue. I like that you actually care about it ahead if time.
It is true that there are converters, for my part I tested
"RSSY Character Converter Genesis 8 and 8.1 Female to Genesis 9"
It does relatively well for the body although once I had a totally deformed body that had nothing to do with the original.
For the head the result is often disappointing with a deformation at the cheekbones and sometimes the chin.

I haven't tried, but maybe doing the face morph with Facetransfer or FaceGen could solve this problem?

The solution is not simple but it is the best:
1-You have to use zwrap to do a body and head morp.
2-Use the D-Former tool to make new eyes.
3-Polish details in zbruhs or blender.
Greetings.

Figure converter for genesis 9 has been elimiinated from the Daz shop. Most probably, it is because the G9 conversion is now included in their "premier" level of monthly subscription, so they do not want to have a competition that one can buy once and use "forever" - it is a relative forever, it is pretty clear (they even basically admitted it) that in future they will change the code of Daz so that those plugins stop to work, and only the equivalent integrated in the premier continues to work, obviously as a way to force people into premier (the premier is a monthly subscription with no annual discount).

Mon, Oct 14, 2024Daz3D follows in the footsteps of Microsoft with Office 360, Adobe with Photoshop to name only famous software.
For customers, the subscription is the worst model that companies have invented. An unpaid bill and the customer loses access to his work.
It is up to us customers not to put a finger in this system because it is a spiral from which there is no way out.
If the Pro version of Daz Studio has become free, it is because the economic model of maintaining 2 versions was not viable. We just have to do the same thing with their new proposals.
