Is genesis just Daz. She looks nice man but like how much "work" goes onto that. I always thought it was basically like a character creation system like what you'd find in an rpg. Is that accurate? sorry if that sounds shitty I'm just curious. I see a lot of Daz stuff and cant help but feel (as a guy who sculpts from the ground up) like Daz users are skipping the art side of this medium. Again she looks great and yes, yes I would.

So, fist off, kudos to all you artists
who build characters from the ground up. I know as a modeler myself
how difficult that is. I have seen some incredible work from really
talented people when it comes to this.
As for Daz, it definitely is different
than this, but none the less it is a very cool system. The nice thing
about it is that you can use it casually or you can get very creative
and make what ever you want.
My Oola was partly done using the built
in Daz controls, but also did involve quite a bit of sculpting using
blender. Once you have the final mesh, you can import this into the
Daz system essentially becoming a new control to dial new shape into
the base Genesis figure.

Drew, Daz is an art medium. Just because one does not sculpt, does not mean it's not art. It takes a lot of creativity to light, pose, and compose. Just like doing photography. Just because I didn't sculpt my friend I photographed, doesn't mean it's not the art side of the medium. Her parents did the creating of the model. I just photographed her!
