Shards of Reflection reveal glimpses into the life of an original character of mine who is featured in my upcoming series. It begins with an unforgettable encounter on a balcony, receiving joyous news in his study, regret at a ball, forced to make a decision beneath the family portrait, heartache in a brewing storm and a present time reflection that leads to a future of himself reaching beyond the shard offering refuge from the haunting maze of reflecting shards against a sky of stars with eerie rising waters slowly engulfing his current reality. I created this scene in Blender, composited and final editing in Affinity Photo. "Reflection, a journey through time, what has been, what is and what will be. Lost in shards of reflections. For things we yearn, moments of joy we long to relive, deeds we regret, moments we wish to change or would be best if we could simply forget. Of all that has taken place that has shaped us into whom we are as we stand before our reflections. The choices we did and did not make take their toll, how much have they given, how much do they hold? Reaching for our salvation as we shift through illusions and truth.
