I'm Ghostttt (Skott Ghost for short, also known as Stencart on Redbubble), and for this contest, I'm gonna attempt to combat my artist block and lack of motivation and make 3 entries. Let's see if I can do it, starting with the concept art for Trauma, a human-grafted oversized bird inspired by various iconic works from Junji Ito, Silent Hill, and The Evil Within, for now until I have more progress to update on.
Notes:
This character is an Enemy type.
the beak is actually just a horrifically stretched woman's upper lip, covering a shattered and dilapidated beak (represents medical emergency trauma)
the fleshless red portions of the head, the legs and feet being backwards, and the exposed ribcage, all represent physical trauma
the bird is constantly crying (emotional trauma)
the wing is made entirely of fingers that detach when the bird is panicking (psychological trauma)
it has human-like features because in the lore I wrote for it, a new bird is born for ever human being that suffers trauma of any sort. No two birds look the same, and they are only friendly to the traumatic person they represent.
this was originally made for an RPG game I made by myself.
The original concept art (you can see the name of the game on the right side corner. Maybe I'll dust it off and finish it. Who knows?)

This would have been a great entry, sadly unfinished.

Sat, Nov 02, 2024Got halfway in it before October 5th. On that day, the software crashed. Then, when opening it back up on the 7th, I saw the file was corrupted, which forced me to give up. I just couldn't catch a break. It sucks, but I wish everyone else the best.
