Young Chort Character

Hi everyone, Im new here! Saw the contest recently and decided to try. Hope to make it before the deadline.
I was inspired by Slavic culture and will create a character, which is a young Slavic devil, who is called chort in Slav culture. The idea is that he hides his hooves and tail under fancy clothes. Still, I only managed to create some concepts to understand clothing design and layers. Since there is little time, Ill make quick character sheets and get straight to the modelling.

Reposting, because I made a mistake in a previous post

Here is an update on my progress; I was not happy with his outfit, so I already redrew it several times (I still don't like it btw). Anyway, I decided to move on from 2d to 3d as there is no time, and created very simple sheets for modeling. I made only the body scheme and the lower part of the clothing, as I'm still not sure about the top.

So, with that scheme, I modelled a base in Blender really quickly with simple cubes with a Subdivision surface modifier applied. I haven't done the palms yet, because I'll pose him later, and since rigging doesn't count, I'll beter sculpt his fingers after posing.

Now, I'm doing the basic sculpt in ZBrush. I sculpt all parts separately to have better control over what I am doing. I started with his face to see the soul of the character X), and finally created the "right" facial expression after a couple of potato ones.

In tales, "chort" usually has a pig nose, so I decided to add that detail to the character as well, and his eyes were too big, so I fixed that. Now, the face looks like this (below), and I also managed to sculpt the body.

I posed the guy already and sculpted his body (will show him later when he gets some proper clothing). Now, I'm working on his clothing and props. I made his boots already, and here are some screenshots from the process. I'll pose boots later, but I want to texture the whole figure at the same time to control how colours correspond to each other, so I just made the UV map to make my life easier in the future.
Again, I made very simple blocking in Blender using my character sheet and then sculpted the shoe in Zbrush. Retopo and UVs were made in Blender.

I have a question about character posing since I decided not to use A-pose at all, so I'm waiting for an answer from the modes now, and maybe I'll have to adjust my future workflow.

Hi Everyone, long time no see
I was working hard to create the character on time, and here are some fresh renders. Now, I concentrate on polishing some details, and creating the character presentation. Here are some renders with quick color correction.
KindRegards!

Since I haven't made updates for a while, here is a brief breakdown. I decided to work with the sculpture so as not to waste time rigging. However, I still had to do a retopology to make the model clean for future texturing and particle work. The retopo is a true hell for asymmetric models, but still, it was quite an interesting experience, and posing the model in advance, I saved tons of time for rig and keyshapes adjustments.
I don't have a Marvelous designer, so I switched a lot between Blender and ZBrush to get the clothing right. The coat bottom was the most challenging part since I wanted to leave the tale visible. There were multiple attempts to create it, but the most successful was the last one, which I made from a potato 3d sketch. There are also some screens of the sculpted clothing in ZBrush (which I made metallic for no reason) and the retopo of his hand. After the sketch sculpt in ZBrush which I showed in my earlier posts, I decided to keep different parts of his clothing separated for better control and easier texturing.

I also made some screenshots while working on his hair system. There are three particle systems for his hair, three for the body, and separate systems for the tale and eyelashes. I also made fur for the coat, on the screen it is on the initial stage of creation

The final picture shows the work on details. There are buttons, belt decoration, coat decoration, etc. I tried to keep the buttons simple, since they will not be very visible. Some parts were textured in Substance Painter with the main part of the model and others in Blender.
