I experimented with Bartosz Styperek's tool a long time ago. It didn't seem bad to me - but my PC was far too weak.
What you should keep in mind (at least with this add-on): these are tools that support you - no less ... but also no more. I.e. the main work is up to you ... and hair (at least good hair) is the supreme discipline in the 3D field.
Good luck

Hair Tool Best for Beginners with Ambition
Why it's good: It offers intuitive guides and conversion features that make Blender hair modeling less technical and more visual. You can generate hair cards from curves and it's pretty well-supported with tutorials.
DAZ Friendly? Yes, it's commonly used for making game-ready hair, which ports nicely into DAZ with some cleanup.
Learning Curve: Moderate but a lot of tutorials are available.
Recommended? Yes great entry point with room to grow.
Behemox Hair Generator Good but Slightly Advanced
Why it's good: High-quality results, especially for stylized or layered hairstyles.
DAZ Friendly? Yes, but you'll need a good grasp of particle systems or card conversion.
Learning Curve: Medium to high.
Recommended? Only if you're comfortable with Blender basics.
3D Hair Brush Brush-Based Workflow
Why it's good: More suited to sculpting and illustration-style projects.
DAZ Friendly? Not ideal hard to export clean topology for DAZ characters.
Learning Curve: Medium.
Recommended? Not the best for DAZ hair modeling.
Hair Bricks Powerful but Technical
Why it's good: Great for modular hair systems using geometry nodes.
DAZ Friendly? Possible, but needs retopo and conversion work.
Learning Curve: High not great for beginners.
Recommended? Avoid if you're just starting.
Final Suggestion:
Start with Hair Tool it has the right mix of simplicity and power, and many creators use it for game assets and DAZ-compatible hair. Plus, it gives you results you can easily convert to mesh, bake textures, and export.
If you have any questions or want guidance while working with Hair Tool or exporting to DAZ, feel free to message me on Discord: timothy558. Id be happy to help!

Tue, Jun 03Hi,
even though I didn't open this thread, I would like to thank you for all the information. I don't think the admins would have minded if you had linked the products.
Hair Tool is the product of Bartosz? As mentioned above, I tried it years ago, but my PC was too sluggish ...
The situation - and the PC - has now improved
... and since I've been dreaming of some nice (and not very complicated) 3D hairstyles for a long time, I'll give Hair Tool a chance based on your recommendation

Fri, Jun 06you are welcome
Hello,
For a novice Blender user aiming to create hair for Daz characters, I would recommend starting with Hair Tool. Its user-friendly, well-documented, and provides excellent results without a steep learning curve. It allows you to convert hair particles into meshperfect for exporting to Daz.
Behemox Hair Generator is also a strong option if you're looking for more presets and control, but it can be a bit more advanced for beginners. Hair Bricks and 3D Hair Brush are powerful, though they tend to be better suited for stylized projects or intermediate users.
If this is part of a larger project, Id love to knowis the project still available? If not, Id be happy to assist with any other 3D tasks you might have in the pipeline.
