I'm thrilled to share my entry for the Winter Fantasy 3 competition! ever since I was a child, the tales of Baba Yaga have had a special place in my heart. They fueled my imagination and made me dream of bringing these stories to life someday and this piece was my opportunity to do just that.
In my render, I reimagined Baba Yagas legendary hut as it strides through a dark, snow-covered forest. Perched on massive chicken legs like in the Slavic folklore, the hut glows warmly against the cold, eerie surroundings, evoking both mystery and wonder. as if youve stumbled into a moment of magic and danger,
This render is my tribute to the folklore that shaped my imagination. I hope it captures the spirit of winter magic as much as it does for me!
Thank you for the chance to share my workits been an amazing experience creating this piece! and I had so much fun working on it. Id love to hear your thoughts!
Best wishes and good luck to all the other participants.
the final render:
The sculpting of the chicken's legs was done in ZBrush, and their textures were created in Substance Painter. The hut i made in Blender.
Here are some renders I made during the work on the scene that I'd like to share to show more play with angles and lighting:
