MAP YOUR DIRECTORIES!

I didn't think it was necessary to go over this with customers but apparently that is indeed the case. Daz should be publicly horsewhipped for not covering this (or do they?) but here's what you need to do if you're installing third party content in a folder separate from your "My Daz3D Library" or your "My Library":
1) Create a base directory, ie "Third Party", or whatever you want to name it. This is where you'll unzip those content files from vendors here at RH, Causam3D.com, Rosity, "Daves Discount Broken Content" or wherever you get it.
2) Open Daz. Scroll to the top of your Content Library Tab.
3) Right Click "Daz Studio Formats" and select the "Add a Base Directory" option.
4) In the popup navigate to the folder you created in step 1) above.
That's it. Daz now has "mapped" your new content and knows from there where to find your materials, etc.

Sun, Feb 09Something like this would be a nice link off of the main "Download Daz 3d assets.." page, for new folks who happen on the page but haven't committed to third party assets yet.
