Fri, Feb 28I will do my best to try to explain my workflow
So Im using only Daz Studio no other 3d programs only at the end Photoshop for post proces.
In this scene I used only one figure [not like some of I have 3 or more characters] plus second character witch is the robotic elements.]
To hide unwanted parts of the human body Im using
-Tool settings>Active tools > Geometry editor
Then Im selecting parts of the body I want to hide or remove, using have more control than hiding by selecting them in the scene.
After I done this Im creating geometry shell for my body and change to negative distance [mesh offset] and changing shader material to something dark/black to create some depth of the body elements
After that I setup second robotic character and try match to the part of the body been remove before, sometime some of the parts of the render need to be "clean" in photoshop.
To get metal parts of the body like metal rim around her waist I use different metalic material render it and photoshoped in post proces.
And the last thing is environment map and the lighting. After Im happy with my render I drop it in to photoshop.
I hope it clear if you have any other questions Im happy to help.
Sorry for my English if something is not clear enough
