Viper Mark 2 transition to Poser

3D Render by badgermedicine

Thank you to DannyK, for your excellent modelling and texture skill work on this Viper. The texture map information did not convert with the rest of the Model. Several attempts were made at conversion of this craft. I finally got it into a OBJ format. Now it's a matter of re-applying the texture maps.
As I stated before, I love this Viper, the details and craftsmanship is excellent beyond comparison. Yet, I need it to be Poser friendly.

Maybe it is easier to work in Blender to handle the textures better

Sadly, Blender often doesn't translate well into Poser's OBJ file. I have tried it on several other models and had a string of error codes that would more time to correct then to build another model. As with this model, all the mapping was done in PNG file format. which works great for Maya. But, Poser wants all the maps files to be either JPEG or BUM. Poser tries to use the PNG files and does a miserable job at it. Once the texture maps are converted the results look better.
