Problematic crossing
3D Render by bisonraviA natural gothic steampunk scene...

If you utilized UltraScenery for the woods... man that must have been brutal on the system. I know I have a four year old processor but damn it can hurt when I try to move around in those kind of scenes.

Thu, Nov 21, 2024To be honest, UltraScenery is very cool for the resources of a computer. It uses a lot of instances which are really well managed by the graphic processors (CPU or CUDA) and the textures are sized to avoid using too much memory. So it's not that brutal for the render (My CUDA card has only 6Gb of GPU RAM). The only thing to be aware is to avoid displaying everything on the scene when creating the picture. I usually create a sub group to place everything with a lot of instances and I hide this group to work with the scene. Then I unhide it just for the rendering.
