Very nice portait and POV! The towel displacement is a bit harming the quality of the picture (it might have been improved with a higher level of subdivision of the displacement map?).

Thank you! I agree, the towel looks painful. I searched my resources for a better terry texture, no luck. Trying a batik or cotton today I think. Oh, actually did post another as wallpaper last night, using a batik texture but wishing it wasn't quite so smooth.

OK, a half day later and lots of pounding on displacement vs normal vs bumps vs meshgrabber real displacement I've swapped out the image with my tenth test, a flat towel with normal and displacement using images of my own actual towel stuck in the windowsill and photographed with my phone.
