Mon, Dec 04, 2023It's a cross between the Hunger Games and Death Race. Dystopian future, people are starving and needing money. So they hold a monthly race through a wasteland filled with hungry creatures. If there is a winner, they get paid.
Maybe we could spin ideas. Mine is a alternate world/ portal fiction piece involving a lot of folks from diferent times and places. A few of the characters posted in here were set up as visual references which is how I got started in rendering

Mon, Dec 04, 2023Oh, I get it now. I thought you had some sore of real world experience. Something like crashing a dirt bike because you ran into a crocodile you didn't see laying in the bushes or something like that.
I wouldn't mind sharing ideas. My mind can't stop writing and my rendering can't keep up. I got started rendering during the whole covid thing. I was stuck at home and started reading comics. I didn't even know 3D rendering was a thing and was wondering how everyone kept drawing such fantastic images. After reading several dozen stories, I realized most of them were lacking, so I started writing my own silly short stories. One day, I was checking out the search tags and saw one that said Blender. So, I investigated, and played around with it. I watched a video on porting a Genesis 8 figure from this other program called Daz3D, so I started playing around with it.
Now I spend all my money buying digital assets. lol

I'm in the same boat regarding writing. read a lot of fiction over a short span and realized that I could do as well - then rediscovered the nuances of story structure and hit a snag. I discovered CC3 and played with it to varied success and then realized DAZ was better suited for my needs and more expansive. Rendering characters and scenes for visual reference has taken took over and now I too buy a lot of 3D assets as I can't resist a sale..

Mon, Dec 04, 2023What drives me crazy is that for every story I complete, I've come up with concepts and scripts in my head for at least 3 to 4 more. The ratio is out of control.
