G8F puts on her socks
3D Render by DoroThee237It's a request for something that doesn't exist, by doing it I understand why!
It's more complicated and time-consuming than I thought.
It's not as easy to morph the clothing with Genesis in a certain pose and then do the Utility transfer of the object file with Genesis in pose A.
It took me a long time to find the method, and I think I must have made a lot of possible mistakes!

When I saw your first posting with socks I thought exactly of the problems with rigging and co. I had already tried something similar (albeit with knickers) ... and failed miserably. That's why I turned to dForce, which makes things a bit easier. If you like, we can communicate via PM

Thu, Dec 14, 2023That's right dForce is an easier solution, but why keep it simple when you can make it complicated! If I were a mountaineer I would have been the type to always choose the north face to climb a mountain
With dForce the sock left the toes too quickly, or it's me who is a little too slow..

Yes - you're right. Sometimes I also wish for a finer gradation with more steps ...
But in the end, I meant something else in relation to "rigging": have you ever tried to slide a normal and rigged sock with dForce? I know it looks a bit strange at first, but could possibly become a bit more realistic with the surface settings, morphs (before the simulation) and dForce weight maps.
Either way, I wish you the best of luck and keep my fingers crossed!

Fri, Dec 15, 2023Honestly, I would never have thought of rigging a sock!
Thanks for the idea and encouragement.
