3D Render by ArtbyMelI noticed from reading the forums that Poser is not well liked here. I get that, sadly. I've seen some horrendous Poser images over the years. I sincerely hope the fact that I use Poser, Vue and now back to Daz doesn't place me a on naughty list, lol. Poser is very easy to import into Vue, one reason I'm still using it. Granted there is a LOT of texture modifying when you do that.
Anyway, this one was setup in Poser, then imported and rendered in Vue.

We all live in our own bubbles, and most Poser renders can be spotted straight away for the (imho) bland surfaces and skins. However, that doesn't mean they are less artistic, just different (look at the cool covers of Poser Gurlz created by Eekdog or Troti's art lessons with meaningful references to painters from all ages).
I ditched Poser about two weeks after installing it, and for 12 years I now try and cope with DAZ. But in the end, it is the creativity and skill of the artist, that makes a good render, not the tool .
And: I do like your render for the details in the black dress and the lighting.

Sat, Mar 30, 2024Thank you. And honestly, I rarely ever do realism or strive to make my images look realistic. I prefer a painted finish and fantastical creations.

Sun, Mar 31, 2024BTW maru_berlin, there was a LOT of texture modification on that entire scene for rendering in Vue. I suspect the same will need to be done with Daz imports as well, I have not tried importing from Studio yet. I'm still re-learning DS, lol. Unfortunately, there is only one script to fix materials on import and that's just for the skin from Poser imports. The rest has to be done by hand.

Sun, Mar 31, 2024Sorry, can't help you with this: I may have an old version of Vue, but never looked into it, and nowadays I would rather create landscapes within DAZ. Also, I do my retexturing within DAZ too, which is limited but at the moment sufficient for me.
