Tue, Jul 23, 2024Hey Cosmic!!!
Welcome backkkk man!
I only put it there to have a little more visibility, but you and I know that I'm not going to win anything here.

I'll see if you posted anything new

Fri, Jul 26, 2024Thanks Vix
kinda back.
I see you joined the lottery comp lol.
I find the procedural environment interesting, one day I'll have to give it a try.

As a Daz user I am once more baffled what Daz Studio cannot do. Procedural. I'd buy that set as a prop.

Tue, Jul 23, 2024Thanks for comment Vertexbert, As you say, Daz is very limited, he is practically only focused on rendering products.
As an explanation... procedural means programmatically generated, I haven't put all the trees one by one...
Go ahead and try blender, it's not difficult

Tue, Jul 23, 2024Doing the donut as we speak. Though one thing Daz is good for is character creation. Are there alternatives apart from sculpting and rigging your own?

Wed, Jul 24, 2024You have free base meshes for human figures in blender, https://www.blender.org/download/demo/asset-bundles/human-base-meshes/human-base-meshes-bundle-v1.1.0.zip and tons of other figures in internet, sculpting over this with the multires modifier you have more control and possibilities than in Daz to create your own figure, but you have to do the rigging part by hand or use an addon like autorig pro, but you need more than a donut for this
I did my stellar denialist characters so...I don't know if you've seen the videos
Maybe, make a character is a complex task for you know, but i'm glad to help you with blender
Also you can export your posed Daz figure to obj and edit it in blender, this is very easy and so you can learn more of blender by this way, is a good practice
Blender guru have very good tutos, so continue with the donuts!!!!

Wed, Jul 24, 2024Ah, other option is buy or find a free rigged character, and sculpt or edit it without modifying the topology, this can work perfectly for you
