Good Day, All!! today's piece is a personal render mucking about with another of the tattoos i've been putting together. this time a faded (i've-so-been-meaning-to-get-the-colour-touched-up-for-years) version, lol😃 "third eye". as always, thanks so very much for looking, and i hope you like it!! ☠️

Tattoo's are art. Art imitates life so they're reflection of one's inner realm. Although the title led me to thinking the third eye was on the forehead. It was pleasant to find the tattoo placed in that position. It should have a significant meaning like you said. Perhaps you're planning to continue the tattoo theme from time to time. Nice to see your imaginative work.: )

The third eye refers to the ajna (or brow) chakra. In Hindu, Budism and Taoism,"tilaka" is placed between the eyebrows as a representation of the third eye, which is also seen on expressions of Shiva. He is referred to as "Tryambaka Deva", or the three-eyed lord, where his third eye symbolizes the power of knowledge, and the detection of evil. It can be opened by activating the pineal gland through techniques like yoga and meditation.

so glad you like it! thank you!! and yes, third eye would generally have one thinking of a different region of the body, but i decided to be cute and make a play on the concept by having her belly button be the third eye for the skull. having many tattoos myself, i completely agree about the art aspect and do plan to continue with it and put out a LIE set for others to enjoy emote
