Bianca's Lingerie Photoshoot
3D Render by PinspotterAn idea I had weeks ago, originally I had planned for a bedroom shoot but the bedroom didn't have the right feel. I've had this "shabby" interior for a few years now and finally used most of the props that came with it. If you have a good eye, you'll notice that the room itself is also my "vampire lounge" set.
We all know that on here, I don't normally say much about my finished artwork. But I adore this series. I love everything; the character, the setting, her clothing, and the post work. I haven't felt this strongly about a finished piece or series in a very long time. I'm not popular, my work isn't popular any more, and social media's algorithms have hidden everything from most people. But at least grant me this. My love for this series of renders. So beautiful in my eyes. And of course, so different from what's plastered all over RenderHub. All the naked women and hyper-detailed cyberpunk stuff. What you see here, this is what *I* am and nobody can take it away from me. Nobody else may see it or care about it, but it's mine.
I've thought about leaving RenderHub, for a long time now. A lot about what this site is, boils my blood. But what about the people who were gracious enough to buy the models I made pretty much for myself, not originally made to be sold to others? I've been on the brink a few times but what I am not, is a quitter. Better to be a has-been, than a never-was. I am not a fit for RenderHub. but I am not going away. I'll have to be banned. Been perma-banned on Pinterest and was put in Renderosity jail for 30 days. Meta locked my Instagram account for weeks because the algorithm flagged me for "botting" because I liked more than a few posts in a day. So it's nothing new to me.
I'm not looking for attention. Just please grant me some satisfaction in rendering doll-like characters. I've grown pretty tired of being told I am "obsolete" and that I don't use enough "realism". That "realism" argument literally tore apart a big DeviantArt group well over 10 years ago. And RenderHub isn't what it was when I joined in 2019. My work used to be shared by RenderHub, on other sites. But I guess between my "obsolete" style, content, and the fact that I've probably pissed off the higher-ups here, it's been shoved aside.
Eh, probably nobody will read this anyway. But I love this series. I adore it. If nobody else does, that can't take away my own love of it. The enjoyment I get out of creating in my own way, a way that nobody else does anymore in 3D.

Don't worry, being has-been and obsolete will be fashionable in a while. Just look at clothing fashion. Flared pants are back in fashion for the 3rd time since 1970 and for women it's long skirts and dresses!

Sat, Sep 21, 2024Well, the Bratz/Bratzillaz/BJD thing kinda died out somewhere around 2015. My stuff is in line with Barbie and a surreal Barbie/BJD hybrid. It isn't popular. Not sure if it will ever be again. I've seen all kinds of reactions back in the day, but if I show a typical person on the street now I get no reaction either way. I just showed up a touch late. or I should say, it was too late when I "got good" at it. I think it will be popular again, when I am dead

Well, I admit, I read it from beginning to the end and I agree on so many points with you.
Special about the mass of nude render, plastering the gallery, that it's no fun to even open the gallery.
One piece/person render, nothing special at all.
But I like this story here, her red glowing eyes with matching nails and cloth. The vampire teeth, not overdone, but nice
And the lingerie, cute, sexy and hiding enough to make it interesting.
When your render and you self are obsolete, I'm wondering what I am *lol*
I love to go for realism, but I also do fantasy, pictures for children, fun and harmless stuff.
I don't like to be pigeonholed and you shouldn't either.
You found your style, your genre, something you like and can identify with. So just don't bother what others say or think.
Like I use to say to my boys: No one will thank you, when you're gone one day, for fulfilling the wishes of others and forgot to live your own life.
Do what YOU want and like and be happy with it

Sat, Sep 21, 2024Thank you, well said <3
And I did affect quite a few people back in the days. I still do, it's just that the audience now is very small. There are various reasons for that. But I'm glad I stuck to my design principles instead of going the porn route like a few of our peers did. Sure, they have Patreons and make maybe 200 bucks a month. But that isn't going to pay the bills.
You know, people over the years have said that my characters don't look "real enough" and I have said THAT'S THE POINT
You mentioned some specific stuff, and I do like to use color matching, it's similar to illustration work. I see colors very well and vividly, and at times I am OCD about getting colors to match up. I use all that as part of my art "superpowers". I love vampires but I don't want my characters to be menacing so I make those elements "cute" <3 Everything has to be cute and doll-like, and seen through a "filter". It's a very "illustrative" way to go about 3D work. I'm no longer surprised that many 3D artists don't get that, not after all the work I have seen.
