IxMix 2 - Summarized information
3D Render by PasahRiThis is the information that you can also call up in the installed project.
POSES
---------
If you want to use the Genesis 9 base model (gender neutral) or a male Genesis 9 model, please use the poses in
the "BASE" directory. For female Genesis 9 models, you will find the poses in the "BASE FEMININE" directory.
Important (Poses):
* "Preset Exceeds Limits" dialog
If a "Preset Exceeds Limits" dialog box appears, please select "Turn Limits Off".
* Overlaps and Intersections
All poses have been developed, tested and fine-tuned for G9 Base, Base Feminine and Victoria 9.
Nevertheless, models that do not completely match the base model / Victoria 9 will have overlapping
body parts in some poses.
Although I have no control over how and whether developers maintain compatibility with the G9 base
when creating models, I apologize for any overlap that may occur.
EXPRESSIONS
-------------
The 4 simple facial expressions match all the poses in this project. With "Reset" you can reset the expression without
changing the head / neck position of the model.
These expressions - and possibly new ones - are part of all my "IxMiX" projects.
LIGHTING
------------
These lighting setups - and possibly new ones - are part of all my "IxMiX" projects.
When you load and render the scenes, you may be a little disappointed at first: it looks nothing like the
promos / teasers you may have seen ...
This is because the lighting is delivered in the basic setting and I have changed and fine-tuned it individually
for the promos. Here is an overview of how you can do the same:
Inside the Scene
------------------
I usually start by switching individual spotlights on and off. Simply select the desired spotlight and click on
the eye symbol in the "Scene" pane.
To fine-tune a spotlight, select it and switch to the "Parameters" pane. In addition to the regular movement of
the light, you can also set the light intensity, light spread etc. here. It is worth experimenting with these settings.
Environment Options
---------------------
You can change this here: "Render Settings" pane -> Environment
I usually use the "Dome and Scene" setting, as this allows me to fine-tune the general light (dome) and the
scene light (spotlights).
The most important options for me here are "Environment Intensity", with which you can control the general brightness, and
"Dome Rotation", with which you can simulate a kind of sun position and thus give your scene light and shadow. It is worth
experimenting with these settings.
Tonemapper Options
--------------------
You can change this here: "Render Settings" pane -> Tone Mapping
This is my favorite "playground" (sometimes even for a very long time
I recommend that you experiment with all the settings, as this allows you to add a very special touch to your scene.
Here is just a brief overview of the options I use most often:
Gama:
higher values = more brightness but also washed out colors
lower values = less brightness but more intense colors
Crush Blacks:
A kind of contrast control, but only limited to dark / black areas. Take a look at the settings in my
light presets ... and experiment
Burn Highlights:
Also a contrast control - this time for bright areas. It is worth experimenting and fine-tuning here.
Vignetting:
Positive values create a kind of round, dark to black fading frame over the image, while negative values
result in a white frame. You can achieve some ingenious effects with this option. Don't be afraid to try out
really high or low values. You will be amazed, especially in the negative range.
