Introducing Bot 900 for Daz Studio 4.23+
Bot 900 was an interesting experience I had with ZBrush's ZSphere tool. I always wanted to work with 3D and humanoid characters until I ran into a big problem, knowing how to equip them with bones, animate a 3D creation. Although I have experience in the 3D modeling market, I admit that I have great difficulty learning how to create my own models. However, the final results are, for the most part, good.
I have always valued enthusiasts and clients who appreciate my work, and for this reason, it is always a pleasure to share my work to this public for free, not because it has been frustrating for me at some points, which in short, I am always concerned about the final quality of my work, and that said, it is a great pleasure to be able to share the Bot 900 with everyone who supports my work, for which I am eternally grateful.
Who knows, perhaps the Bot 900, in the hands of a skilled artist, will be able to bring it to life.
Please let me know what I managed to do with it.
Don't forget to share my free works so more people can enjoy them.
Bot 900, has super detailed clean retopology mesh, high quality textures with Iray PBR overlays, 8 materials available to play with it.

Because it is a hard body, it is a lot easier to rig for posing than a soft body. I am currently at the skill level where I could rig the BOT 900, but not good enough to rig an animal. I learned to rig hard bodied things from watching tutorials by SicleYield on DeviantArt. Anyway, if I rig this, can I send you my rigged version of it so you can release that from your RenderHub store? I won't be able to start my rigging of it for at least two weeks. But I might be able to finish it within two months.

Mon, Dec 02, 2024Actually, there are parts of BOT 900 that are not strictly hard, like the fingers, toes, and upper arm cables. I might not be able to rig those parts without having to take lots of time to learn how, which i don't want to do. But at least I can rig the hard parts that I know how to do.

Tue, Jan 14, 2025Aw damn. I tried to rig it, but it can't be rigged. The mesh is all one singular blob wherein there's no one-to-one correspondence between the mesh geometry and the joints between parts. For this to ever be rigged, it must be re-built from scratch in such a way as to produce a mesh wherein the mesh geometry partitions corresponding to the joints between movable parts.

It was a really frustrating attempt to create it.
I used Zphere in ZBrush as training for a course I took 4 years ago. The file was stored for a long time until I decided to texture it and release it as a freebie in the hope that it would be useful to someone. It's a shame that it was a failure on my part.
You might want to try animating it in MIXMANO or Blender, I've never worked with Blender, but I heard that it has an auto-rigging plugin capable of manipulating humanoids.
