A great scene and certainly difficult to render in these lighting conditions.
Be careful, the treasure hunt can be dangerous. Not only because this mine is very old. Precisely because the mine is so old, you can't know who or what is hanging around down here.

Sun, Jan 12This is a set for UE5, I'm actually still working on the massive amount of lighting techniques available in UE. This set comes with it's own lighting with over 32 separate lights of various types. I moved the end of tunnel light to behind the boards at the end of the tunnel to give it the look of something behind the closed off part of the mine. I am still a long ways off from being able to create something like this from scratch.
Yes, you couldn't pay me enough to enter an 100 yr old mine, a cave probably but not a man made mine with 100 yr. old tech, no thanks.
Thank you very much. UE has very little issues with dark scenes and renders mostly in a few minutes for a few frames which I use to create these stills. Everything in UE is geared to animation so even a single frame is created in the Movie Render Queue. Which gets you warmed up for creating animations. This is done in a tool called a sequencer (Timeline) with all the normal and quite a few not so normal ways to add things to. It is fairly easy to understand the concept. This is the path I am trying to get to.

Sun, Jan 12Very interesting to know how you implement this with UE. Of course I know that you've been working with UE for a longer time, but I'm always surprised at how you do it.
I think I've mentioned before that I also tried UE, but I gave up again. Maybe too early, but for now I'll probably stick with DAZ.
