The Man from Taured.

This mystery, and many others like it, are the closest events that I've ever found in this reality to comfort me. mrtaured has always been my username for a reason, ever since I found the story itself, and it all dawned on me what had happened that day. When I was a child, my parents traveled a lot and my father had moved us to Cincinnati, Ohio to work at an Aviation plant called General Electric. I was young yet old enough to have my memory etched, and I remember the flight being very uncomfortable and cramped, but I ended up dosing off anyways. Though, when I woke up, many things were different. I can't remember what my father said the place was called, but it wasn't General Electric before that flight. G.E. is where he works still to this day, but I know for a fact that he had called it something else. I remember thinking it was odd that my mom and dad had changed their clothes on the flight. However, the biggest thing that really made that day stand out was it was nighttime when we arrived. A 6-hour flight that started at 9 am. It was closer to midnight when we got off the plane. I was only a kid then and my mom thought it was funny that I was messing with them when I started pointing everything out. I could go on forever about the changes. Every little thing was slightly different. It's all cloudy, really, but the one thing that sticks is that I know everything around me had changed that day just ever so slightly. Now... What I'd like to point out is my biggest fear, for in this mystery the man simply Vanishes back to wherever he came from and only his effects seem to have gone with him... I have children, I've done a lot in my life so far and many are counting on me right now... Will there be a day that I too, suddenly vanish with only the clothes on my back and the things in my pocket? Just like that day. Or am I just yanking your chain? haha.

No offense. But it was proven that the man from Taured was really a con man that forged documents to escape the authorities. He was later caught and charged with fraud.
