Vignette 006
3D Render by VulcanStarDrivesexplored multipipe and flowalongsurface commands a bit in Rhino, made a trellis folly. I've still got a lot of stuff to learn, but starting to feel more comfortable with the idea of making another stab at that landing pad.

I'd shroud this entire model with foliage as if it was almost a tunnel pathway through some exotic jungle setting, I think it would be really cool.

Sun, Mar 09That's a really good suggestion, thanks!
Blender has a free procedural Ivy Gen addon, that looks like it might be interesting.

Ivy generated in blender, it works pretty nicely. I got to go further and make a proper leaf with an alpha channel and all that jazz at some point, but that should be relatively easy. Thanks for the suggestion @SydneyKeys

Good work Vulcan wink As an idea to get variation in the color and shape of the leaves in Blender, you can separate the UVs into several parts by doing several random selects(edit menu) and doing a different unwrap for each of the selections (dividing the UV space into four for example...) With a variation it will improve a lot...

Mon, Mar 10Thanks, that sounds like a clever idea. I'll be sure to try it out after I can take some pictures of the local ivy

Mon, Mar 10Sorry, you don't need unwrap again nothing, simply with the face random select and scale it in the uv section is enought, anyway send me a message if you have any problem
I hope this help
