I've been getting back to time-limited character exercises, now with Genesis 9. I wasn't a fan of Genesis 9 at the outset, until I got my hands on high quality third party 8K skins, morphs and geoshells. This one isn't a 'clone' attempt like some of my characters, but it bears some general resemblance to a life model I had the privilege of working with a few years ago, and vague resemblance to a digital photo I'd seen recently.

I have previously noted that I'm a big fan of Tri-X's skins, and they continue to impress. This skin is Madi C (sans tattoos), with eyes from AnnaOR. The blue AnnaOR eyes look a bit artificial in the promo pics, but I think they're fantastic in-render; they really pop in HDR lighting.

HevieState3D is doing *so* much interesting work. Her character designs and morph work blow up the uncanny valley, IMO. Here, I'm dialing in some of her Real Female Shape for G9 (about 20%) to enhance the body morphs already dialed, and am completely leaning in to the related HD morphs (100%) for skin detail. The HD morphs are outstanding; while the visibility of the effect varies somewhat by skin type, I've obtained very realistic textural enhancement with every skin that I've tried. If your focus is airbrushed fashion models and pinups, these are probably not for you - but if you're a fan of photorealism and 'real women', I do recommend giving them a try. And if you're still using G8 or G8.1, do know that Real Female Shape for G8 is even better. I'm intending to do something for posting with G8 soon.

The instructions for those HD morphs tell you that they're incompatible with geoshells. That is true for nipples (and you shouldn't *have* to use nipple geoshells BTW, but the stock nipple morphs for G9 are disastrous), but not necessarily for the DAZ3D stock G9 female genitalia. If you dial in HevieState3D's genital morph for Real Female Shape, you get the HD skin effect from the character wireframe throughout the pubic mound (which expands to effectively cover most of the genitalia geoshell), but the labia minora and clitoral hood from the geoshell generally remain visible.
