I never planned having these ladies in pressed shirts and sequins. Actual soap and facilities I guess would have been an untold luxury on a ship months at sea... For me the best true to life Pirate series I had seen in a very very long time was Blacksails. I loved its downright grittyness and realism in depicting life in that era.
