Poms Perfect Imperfection
3D Render by Pushee-RiPom (short for Melpomene, a minor character in a novel by Trevanian) is a rather simple model that I built mainly for experimenting and presenting my SGM. To do this, I had to leave my comfort zone and give Pom a slightly larger bust size. Well, what wouldn't you do for DAZ
SGM stands for Sub Garment Moprhs and is the continuation of my (as Maru calls it) " crusade " against the unrealistic representation of tight-fitting 3D clothing or shells on models with larger (or really large) bust sizes. If you are interested in more information on the general topic, I have a thread describing my ideas, approaches, and botched experiments:
https://www.renderhub.com/forum/13560/for-ccs-daz-clothes-and-dforce-approaches-ideas-and-more
So, are SGMs the solution to all mentioned problems?
Unfortunately not! While the individual morphs I created for Pom work relatively well with shells, the quality (or rather, the topography/mesh) of the 3D clothing used determines whether the result is acceptable or not. Unfortunately, sloppy 3D clothing (built-in breasts, strange wrinkles, too many vertices arranged in a goofy way, etc.) leads to less than convincing results. This is NOT due to the SG Morphs, but rather to the dumbly created 3D clothing ...
Anyway, there will be a few more pictures and promos from Pom coming soon. In addition, I still have to build the DAZ UI, test and pack the project, etc... and then you'll be able to see for yourselves soon.
Enjoy

Fri, Aug 22Thank you
As you can see, no matter how hard I try, I just can't get away from cartoon faces

I do not think it is cartoonish at all! Beautifully done, and I know you are the creator, but have you paused for 3-5 minutes and just looked at her eyes? We tend to be exhausted when we are done, so I bet you have not spent enough time admiring your own creation!

Fri, Aug 22Thank you very much for your kind comment and the rocket. I am honored. Honestly
For me personally, however, Pom (Melpomene) is still a toon character: eyes too big, nose too thick, mouth too wide ... but I just like it that way (I just haven't found the right mix of toon and reality yet
But it should be sufficient for a test project for my SGM, right?

Fri, Aug 22Of course! Her nose and the her gesture/how she laughs reminds me of someone I know from work, that's why I thought she didn't look cartoonish at all, of course you know your character better, I've only seen her in this render.
Still, she looks like a goofy HR lady

I like her eyes and spirit too. I do think that RenderHub is the land of Giant boobs and huge behinds. With the models I get here I always have to reduce breast size and work on hips/thighs. I know that there is a following on Daz for hobbit-like characters and medieval scenes. It's just that everything on the front pages is about modern life and Barbies. Dig deeper and you will find the others.
I do almost exclusively Fantasy, Medieval and SciFi images. Resources are really hard to find, but they are there.

Mon, Aug 25Thank you very much
As mentioned above, Pom is mainly about the morphs (SGM) – otherwise, when it comes to my characters (or rather their breasts), I believe that the smaller, the better
The eyes are one of the most impressive features of G9: the iris and pupil are perfect (albeit at a high price: the eyes alone require maps of 19MB+), and the shaping/posing allows for very nice customization of the eye shapes and their expression thanks to the many submorphs.
