Traditional Asian-Style Outfit
3D Render by Kyro-RedHello,
First of all, I’m very glad to have the opportunity to participate in this contest.
The work I submitted for this contest is a traditional East Asian-style outfit.
It’s a style I’ve always wanted to create, and thanks to some personal free time and this contest as an opportunity, I was finally able to bring it to life.

The work I submitted for this contest is a traditional East Asian-style outfit.
It’s a style I’ve always wanted to create, and thanks to some personal free time and this contest as an opportunity, I was finally able to bring it to life.
The outfit is designed for a male character,
and my goal was to create a traditional East Asian style with textures and fabrics that capture the essence of classic attire.
To develop this concept, I first searched the internet for reference images that matched or inspired the style I had in mind.

For the character, I used a DAZ3D model that I found before.
The outfit creation began in Marvelous Designer,
where I designed three pieces of clothing: a top, pants, and an outer coat, as shown in the image below.

The modeling work was done in Blender, and I decided to use Blenders Cycles renderer for the final renders.
After importing the outfit from Marvelous Designer, I refined the modeling, details, and created additional parts in Blender.
I also prepared a low-poly version for potential marketplace use as a game asset,
but since the contest submission was my priority, I focused on completing the contest piece first and plan to further develop the low-poly work later more.

For the fabric details, I aimed to capture the look and feel of traditional East Asian patterns and textures.
I happened to have a pouch with an oriental design at home, which I used as a reference to guide the material expression.

The character have oriental-style props.
I worked taxtures in Substance Painter, focusing on bringing out their unique textures and details.

This is the Blender viewport showing all the objects I created.
Due to time constraints, I placed only the minimum background elements visible to the camera,
and instead focused on the lighting to create a slightly darker, atmospheric mood

Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
This project was a truly enjoyable experience, as it gave me the chance to create something I had wanted to make.
I wish the best of luck to everyone. Thank you.
(And finally, here is another color variation version of the characters outfit.
