This is my first post on RenderHub, so please bear with me if I make any rookie mistakes. I usually focus on environment work, but I wanted to try my hand at character art you know, those eye-catching pieces you see from Instagram character artists. That's what motivated me to participate in this contest, though I admittedly started way too late and should have begun earlier.
I'm never completely satisfied with my work, and this project is no exception. Every time I finish something, I find myself thinking, "I could have done this better" or "I should have added that." However, a friend of mine shared some wisdom that I carry with me: "A perfect project is the project you've completed. Even if it's a work-in-progress, if you consider it finished, then it's perfect."
Here's my process for this character:
Base Model: Started with a character mesh from Daz3D
Refinements: Imported into Blender and added skin details and makeup
Clothing: Used Marvelous Designer for the outfit design
Texturing: Applied textures in Substance Painter
Jewelry: Created in Blender using vertex-to-skin modifier techniques
Environment: Added scanned people models in the background for a natural crowd feel, then extruded the existing people cards to give them some volume
I kept modifications to the template files minimal, just added a few assets and materials. Since I didn't want to risk disqualification. Given that the contest focuses primarily on outfit creation, I concentrated most of my effort there. Thanks for taking the time to read through this! Best of luck to everyone participating. P.S. I noticed some people adding descriptions directly with their images, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. No worries though—I'll just add my commentary in the image comments.

I updated the post with this outfit product. You guys can buy this outfit now. Make something beautiful with it haha :}
I'll upload those pieces of jewelry as separate product (because not everybody needs them) I'll make bundle this product with them with a discount tho.
