Nicole's Loss

The dogs had set off the instincts of the station guards and they yanked Nicole aside even after the detector cleared her. Her father protested and stepped through the detector without instruction. He was brought to the ground and beaten. The noise had exploded. Shouting, gunshots, crying and barking. What were they even telling her to do? They were kicking her dad. She tried to help him, but the lady was stronger and pinned her against the wall with a pistol in her face.
She could hear her father screaming to let her go. Then the alarm started beeping. Screams and then-
Nicole had woken up on the floor covered in dust and loose debris. What had happened? She rose and saw some of the guards on the floor, some stumbling in the dusted air past her. The lights were mostly cut out. She felt around. The detector was gone. All the people standing there were gone.
Where was her father?
It turned out the dogs had smelled the bomb on the man standing behind her father. He had attacked the station for shooting his mother there a day before.
Nicole found her father and laid with him until reinforcements showed up and arrested her.
The young woman hugging the corpse was transported to a refugee detention center. The 86th Sheep Dogs were infamous for attacking these sites and recruiting those they could rescue from them. It is suspected that Nicole was recruited by this group and is still fighting in Taured till this day.
Her father had taken her to a neighboring country to check a college there. That's when the war broke out. The rest of her family was never found upon her return.
Taured is a fictional war-torn country where all my characters are from. Hope you enjoy Nicole's little back story, could be like yours soon.
Render was a hefty project and takes 10 minutes to even save. haha. Song and video are for other artists to relate to and enjoy.
