The Feast of the Gods
3D Render by Uroboros3DFar in the depths of space, there is a planet inhabited by a race similar to humans. They lost the battle to the parasites that took over their world. Despite the high technology that allowed humans to conquer space, the struggle began in the depths of the mines, where the remains of long-extinct creatures were discovered.
After unsuccessful experiments with stem cells and genetic engineering, the parasites have significantly increased their size and vitality. This allowed them to defeat the formerly powerful race and take its place.
Thousands of years later, a once-advanced civilization has degraded to the level of cavemen. They sacrifice their women to the new gods, hoping to delay their inevitable demise and prolong their days of despair and terror.

This is my work for the contest. The main idea was in my head, I just needed to collect a few references.

First, I made a body, to which I added details as I made monsters. Because one hundred percent still did not understand where and how the tentacles would be located.

The creation of a 3D model of the worm, as well as the creation of other tentacles, began with a curve. After that, I just subdivided the grid using a modifier and added details.

It was different with this monster. First, I connected a lot of balls, then I used automatic retopology, and only then I started adding details.

When creating the altar for the sacrifice, I was a little inspired by the Cthulhu universe, but for the most part I took the image out of my head.

Creating a monster shelter where the altar is located

I aligned all the 3D objects so that everything looked harmonic and creepy in the camera view.

Polygonal grid

Almost all textures are made procedurally using nodes.

I start making render after render, after which I correct and add all sorts of little things.

A bit of compositing.

The final result.

This project took about two weeks of daily work. I've never done anything like this before, so it was interesting to test myself.
Thank you for your attention.

Thu, Oct 30, 2025Thanks! So I wanted to emphasize that this is a different race of people. Yes, and slightly diversify the image of an ordinary woman.
This is a mastercraft work! I'm trying to get into making stuff from scrap too, but i am really struggling. That step by step of your work helps a lot! Amazing work, dood.

Thu, Oct 30, 2025Hi, thanks. I've been doing this for so many years and I'm still learning. Even while I was doing this project, I learned a lot about shaders, although in fact this is basic information...
