Aine was starting her tour of the research stations when she spotted a stranded bottle nose dolphin.
She beached her craft as gently as she could, knowing that the tide was on its way out.
The dolphin was anxious as she approached, keeping a watchful eye on her.
She managed to slide the 600 pound mammal back into the water, saying soothing words and being careful not to startle her.
"Fish sick?" came a voice from behind Aine.
Aine whirled around, finding a most surprising someone sitting on a rock, watching her and the dolphin.
Aine and the dolphin stared back.

A long time later, after Aine had explained to Laoise that the entity in question was more like them and not a fish at all., they sat on Aine's craft.
Much to Aine's surprise, Laoise was most enthusiastic about sharing a pint of ice cream that Aine has brought for lunch.
"Now we have fun?" Laoise asked.
Aine was surprised and a little curious but replied "I have to return to base."
As she saided away, Aine looked back and found the beach empty.
