Andor Senate Speeder (WIP) 01
3D Render by TALON-3DHere's some work in progress on my Mon Mothma or Senate Speeder as featured in Andor. So much for this being a little palette cleanser. This one took a little longer than expected. Last cosmetic details have gone in now, additional light panels to the rear, and mostly interior cabin detailing, paneling on the walls, floors going in, passenger consoles and interior lighting arrays. Last detail to add on the passenger cabin will be some enclosed lighting panels under the seats for the under-lighting evidenced in screenshots from the show. The last major detail to add will be the cockpit dash and steering yoke.
Most of the physical practical modeling work is done now too, last odds and sods to help the pontoons marry to the main body are done now, just the last tweaks to do in that area, some last adjustments to the tunneling for the lights and cabling, and a little platform for where the battery compartment will be, and finally a hinge for the gull-wing passenger door, and a slide rail for the cockpit canopy opening mechanism and we're all good. Prior to these last steps I'll split the production into two paths, one for 3D printing, and the other for CGI use to accommodate their differing needs. Daz 3D, general CGI and 3D Printable versions are in the works.
So a longer journey than expected, but I think the end results should give us a satisfying conclusion. The number of removable parts for access and play features, not to mention lighting, should make this one really interesting to build and display.
