Poker Room and Poker Night
3D Render by sjgregoryThe STZ environment, like other products, uses emissive lighting; but, it also stopped at 11% convergence having exceeded my default maximum render time - this perhaps points at a system limitation for me.
STZ Poker Night is a set of G38F poses that work with the scenery item above. For me, possibly because of the emissive lights and size of the image, it rendered using the CPU only, for a very long time, to achieve only modest results: this is only 34% converged after almost 23 hours and 7079 iterations.

Funny how long it takes to do Iray... I gave it up it, it would years to render my 2000 frame animations...
I am sure ya know Daz "Last Draw" with "filament" can be very good and takes less than a sec to render a great looking complex picture like these....

Wed, Feb 25Yes but I struggle - a lot. My Mats seem to look plastic-like and I cannot figure out shadows?

Wed, Feb 25I believe the secret to you want is to use an HDRI map and then set the render settings for it....
Here is a naughty scene I just created that uses a fireplace background that gives orange lighting to the scene...
I used last draw to make the scene, saving the render in less one second...
Note the shadows...
If this will matches what you want, I will explain it to you in detail...

Wed, Feb 25Can you email me at xznvb6kb@gmail.com? I'll create a text document with instructions...
You can still email me... Here is the start...
How to render better with Filament mode....
You need to have a set of Render HDRI maps....
This is the one I used for my animation you saw, called Fireplace....
https://polyhaven.com/a/fireplace has this file (The HDRI file is called Fireplace4k.exr)
Two choice sites for HDRI maps...
Free HDRI maps to download... They take up a lot of memory.... A whole of them...
https://polyhaven.com/hdris
https://hdrmaps.com/freebies/free-hdris/page/2/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With Iray Hdri maps the HDRI map is placed in DAZ Environment TAB as you probably know....
With Filament mode the HDRI map is placed in the Render Setting Tab....
You have to do some set up or use scripts to do the setup.
Engine - NVIDIA Iray
Dome -
Draw Dome - On won't work on Off
Environmental Map - Set it for the HDRI file, Fireplace4k.exr for this example
Environmental Intensity - Adjust the as you wish, this makes a huge difference
Dome Rotation - Adjust as you wish. This also can make a huge difference
