Experimentation Beyond Strange What Happens Inside a Giant Mirrored Sphere
3D Render by xznvb61) The first image is a dancer inside a Giant mirrored sphere in Filament mode.... Had no luck with this in Iray mode... I can't comprehend why this looks like this....
2) I went crazy and created a triangular walled set of mirrors inside the the giant mirrored sphere with the pole dancer...
The next 5 images show the results with different HDRI maps.... Makes totally no sense at to me.... If you look carefully at the image you might see the pole dancer images in the bizarre image...
I think this might be a great background for a Weird contest......

Good work!!!
Perhaps someone can confirm this, but I believe that inside a sphere there should be infinite reflections; maybe if you reduce its size you would see all those reflections but not the environment (and your PC would go a little crazy).

Thanks!!! I spent a lot time in Iray mode and got wore out with it not working out very well.... Probably due to the infinite reflections as said and always being too dark... I'll try it again when my mind is alert.... In Filament mode the inside dome reflection contains the render map which is the crazy pattern stuff you see,,, Makes no sense to me, but is way cooler than what I got from Iray..... Now that I think about it dawns on me that render mode needs a light of lighting inside the dark sphere....

Sun, Mar 22Yes, it's crazy, in Filament mode every mirrored surface reflects the HDRI map (but not the scene), but in Iray if you have your camera inside a box or a sphere the HDRI map is not visible and the Environment light cannot reach the inside of your camera, but you have real-time reflections.

Sun, Mar 22If you're interested in having both reflections and an HDRI map, you can place your HDRI texture as base color on your reflected sphere and maybe also in Emission color(not too much Luminance or reflections won't be seen). Hope it helps.
Not sure you seen my Eva Mirror update, she is going crazy and attacked my pole dancer... Now she she up to something else.... She got the idea from your site,,,,
