3D Render by SincopationThe slave girl arrived at the temple in rags looking abused and desperate and exhausted.
"I was sold at the marketplace this morning to a brute who beat me mercilessly. I saw my chance and escaped. Please give me sanctuary."
"Quickly, take off your clothes as fast as as you can."
A centurion, a magistrate, and an angry barbarian and his slave girl entered the temple soon afterwards.
"Who defiles the Temple of Venus with this disturbance?" demanded the priestess.
"I bought two slave girls today at the Forum. This slave has run away, she’s mine and I want her back." the barbarian hissed.
"There are no slaves here, only servants of Venus. We have just finished a scared ceremony. This acolyte has been newly inducted to the service of our goddess, therefore she is beyond the laws of men."
The barbarian was fit to be tied, but the presence of the magistrate and the soldiers kept him in line.
"She’s right, if this slave of yours has become a novice, there is nothing to be done. Take the one you have and count yourself lucky she didn’t do the same."
The Barbarian stewed for what seemed an eternity, but thought better of the situation and huffed off his slave girl.
The magistrate walked over to the the slave-girl-turned-priestess, saying "You were lucky today we were close by and could stop any bloodshed. Now you are part of the Temple and any scandal, any hint of impropriety you cause will reflect on all who helped you today. Remember and follow the rules of the Temple."
"I will not forget sir. I will be true."
