The Wave Hair
Catch the wave.
A free swept forward hair for Genesis Female 8.
I know this looks like strand based hair, But it isn't.
I was making an image where I wanted hair that looked this way so I created one in Daz Studio using strand base hair.
I wanted to render it in Octane stand alone renderer, which meant I would have to export it as a mesh, which I did.
Time went by and I lost interest in making the image and got rid of the daz file.
When cleaning out my projects folder I found I still had the exported mesh, so i thought I would make a cheap hair out of it.
Comes with a crappy skullcap as well, which can be loaded separately or together with the wave.
Comes with a few materials, one solid colour black, a few gradient colours, and has two material zones front and back wave.
The solid colour can be changed easily in surfaces, by simply changing the colour of the base color
Since this started as Strand based hair the mapping for textures is very simple and you can easily load your own gradient in the base color.
If you haven't tried making strand based hair yourself in Daz studio, give it a try.
There are plenty of tutorials on the internet, and anything you make will look much better than this and be less of a pig on resources.
